2011 has been an exciting year. Baby Esme joined our family on March 16. If you ask me (Katie), she is Brandon's "Mini-Me". They look so much alike -- which isn't such a bad thing. ;) Esme is such a happy girl and is constantly smiling. I know every new parent thinks their baby is the cutest and happiest little thing around... but mine really is. ;) There is always a smile on her face... well, almost always. It makes it impossible not to like her. Watching her grow and develop has been amazing. 
I am still teaching 4th grade at Geneva Elementary. It blows my mind that this is my 7th year. I am grateful for the life lessons that teaching has given me. Brandon has been playing "Mr. Mom" this year. He took a student leave from Costco to finish school and to stay home with Esme while I work. We can't wait for April when he will graduate and our roles switch back to "normal". We are still in love our home and neighborhood. We just wish we had more time and money for the hundreds of projects we dream up.
